IKEA / The Garden of Imagination

As a partner of the MELBA Design Festivalin 2025, IKEA commissioned us to create an art installation from scratch, with a single hint to feature chairs. With a deadline of roughly 5 days, we didn’t get to sit around much, and the central idea quickly took shape.

Featuring IKEA’s iconic MAMMUT stool, we created The Garden of Imagination – an installation where creativity blooms freely. The choice of chair is no coincidence: with its constantly evolving design, it is a masterpiece which turns kids’ play into art, and everyday life – into adventure.

Positioned at the entrance of the festival during the international symposium, the installation set the tone from the very first step. After the event, it earned its place at the home of everyday creativity – IKEA itself.
